Matthew 22:37-39
“And He said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’”
Love to others – The more we believe, the more we love: faith is the root, and love is the flower that grows upon it. “Faith working through love” (Gal. 5:6). ATFG p. 98
Love of God – Christ suffered more for His spouse than ever any husband did for a wife. he suffered poverty and ignominy. He who crowned the heavens with stars was Himself crowned with thorns. He was called a companion of sinners, so that we might be made companions of angels. He was regardless of His life; he leaped into the sea of his Father’s wrath to save His spouse from drowning.
