Tactical Athlete Instructor Certification
As a law enforcement officer with prior military experience, this is without a doubt the best strength and conditioning course I have ever attended. I wish I had this 20+ years ago as a young PFC in the Army. Every LE/Mil Operator in the country should attend this, for many reasons. Specifically it will give you a huge advantage in coming home alive.
—Jeff Arms, Special Agent
The whole four days was awesome. In my 19 years of law enforcement, this was by far the best strength and conditioning program I have a much better trainer.
—Lt. Chris Haynes, Police Officer and Crossfit Box owner
I have completed this course twice and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to gain some knowledge of kettlebells. Both Coach Martone and his staff (Zach Filer) do a great job of presenting the information. You won’t regret taking this course!

I have attended lots of tactical and officer survival courses where the instructor stresses the need to workout and how that will make you a better officer. There is truth in that, however most guys start working out and develop their bodies in a way that creates injuries and restricts movement in equipment. This course bridges the gap between officer survival schools and fitness as practiced by most cops and operators.

CrossFit Specialty Course: Kettlebell
The Kettlebell Trainers Course was the most valuable training weekend I have ever experienced, and as a former cyclist, then triathlete, and finally masters swimmer, I have many weekends of high-level sport-specific training over many years as a baseline for comparison. Jeff Martone is second-to-none as an instructor and as a coach.
First, his instructional skills: the course material was organized in a logical progression, with just the right balance between verbal instruction, demonstration, individual coaching, and practice. I had been concerned before the weekend started that there wouldn’t be enough time for the practice I needed to begin making the new movement patterns permanent, especially for the snatch. I needn’t have worried. Each learning block the first day included time for practice. Building on the first day’s foundation, the second day was mostly review and more time for practice. Pacing was relaxed, but efficient. When the time came to test, I felt solid on all the exercises, including the snatch. No question it will take hundreds more snatches before good technique becomes automatic, but I’m confident I can reproduce good technique now on my own.
Second, his coaching skills: the example of Jeff’s coaching was as valuable a part of the weekend as the kettlebell instructional component. The class participants ranged from CrossFit coaches and box owners to a young mother without any athletic background who had been CrossFitting for only a couple of months. I watched Jeff as he interacted with the participants standing closest to me. To a person, they got what they needed. Jeff knew exactly what to say, with minimum words and maximum result. In sum, I recommend this course without reservation and hope that HQ recognizes what a treasure CrossFit has in Jeff Martone.

The kettle bell cert was one of the best I’ve attended so far. Jeff was an incredible teacher, easy to understand and follow. The course was very beneficial. I didn’t realize how much I did NOT know about kettle bells! Well worth the investment of time and money! Thanks.

Customer Feedback
I had a really great time on the range yesterday. I shot a Glock, Sig, Colt 380 and my J frame. I was really pleased with the groups. I shot on all the models and I really think the kettlebell has helped as I was not aware of any recoil at all.

Thank you very much for your reply. I’ve been searching for a month now for a solution to this and this is exactly the kind of experience and wisdom I was looking for. It’s very easy to just not answer email and most people I wrote to did exactly that, but your answer has possible saved me from future injuries and shaved some years from a standard “trial and error” learning curve, so thank you!
